I'll get my own back. One day...

Sporadic riding has been the norm recently as I got over the hole I dug for myself after Bristol Bike Fest.

Obviously, it was nothing to do with "The Hobbit's Tale."

Ahem.

Anyway, after a weekend of helping to teach stuff and things to people from around the UK, I decided to try and ride my bike. I started off by leaving the course venue in Londonshire, and my next port of call was Grimsby, and I really fancied a nice bike.

I called Steve Heading, to see what he was doing, and he offered to escort me on a ride around his local area...

After the first climb, I had ask him for mercy. He was killing me!!

I didn't feel daft asking for this, as he's dug himself a few holes after major events in the past...

...As has his brother...

...And sister!!!

He's part of a family of nutters!!!

So, mercy sought and bestowed we carried on for 3 hrs around the Peak District, on the flatter, more normal roads that I'm used to.

I was still knackered, but we saw some nice sites on the way.

Chatsworth House at the weekend

Another couple of rides have been done since then, and they have actually been decent enough to call training rides.

Hopefully, this means that we are on our way back to a semblence of fitness.

Watch this space.

I'm going to get my own back on Steve, though, one day.
